Kirana Stores At Agrotech Mart

Agrotech plans to tie up with kirana stores as marketing partners for Agrotech food products and allied items through the online and directly to its consumers by an its own outlet managed by SHGs and JLGs in various locations in the state.

Agrotech is the main souring company for procuring agri produces , marketing and selling its products to agriMart(own outlet shop of Agrotech). Agritech normally supply 300 -400 items of the goods on regular basis and also products are also ordered through the AgroMart( directly selling and delivery of online orders too) . Now plans to expand its services to Krianas(Local Grocery shop ). In case of online order the margin of the profit is equally shared by Agritech and Kiranas respectively.

  • Agrotech is introducing convergence mode of selling its products as combined package units ( like list of food items , grocery and FMCG goods) by directly to local customers by kiranas and AgroMart (both direct and online app owned e-commerce platform of AgriMart) along with its own agroMart stores which is operated across the state. Agrotech is providing opportunity to SHGs and JLGs to run the agroMart in their area. SHGs and JLGs members are encouraged to updating their skill sets through training and capacity building for development on regaular basis as a partner of marketing. This partnership is playing a key role for development of community and it is a key strategy of Agrotech is win - win situation for partners and development of small holders ( kiranas, small investment , small space, less risk). It is important factor that it differentiate from other online grocery platforms such as Big Basket, Amazon and Grofers, etc,.

  • Now Agrotech is inviting kiranas to join for the selling of agrotech products ( 300+ products) in their shops. Whenever the need the products they encouraged to get the products from the agriMart located nearest to their kiranas. Agrotech is provding the equal share of profit to AgroMart which is sold to kiranas. Even though Agrotech Family Aided Mart Private Limited will supply them the stocks and the margins will be shared equally. The kiranas are also supply the goods to Agrimart. However, Agrotech will continue with the sale of Grocery by our own stores which is operated by its unique model which is operated by WOMEN JOINT LIABILITY GROUP. as a fulfilment centres. Agrotech is also run a Hub centre to supply all goods to deliver as B2B by cash-and-carry mode, AgroMart, orders also supply through fulfilment of B2B orders are delivering the products to kiranas. The neighbourhood stores will place their orders online and get deliveries at their stores.

  • AgroMart will study this system by pilot mode of direct sale to consumers from kiranas in this financial year in 30 places of the state. As of now, there more than 2500 kiranas having been signed up. It will eventually be implemented wherever AgroMart has operations. A drive to enrol kiranas in over 100 cities by April 2024 is currently underway, AgroMart to kiranas is already started a pilot for supply of products. “Since its tie up in kiranas is a long-drawn process, AgroMart will have a hybrid model of sales through own kiranas and store partner model in pin codes where there is no such partnership in coming days. In future AgroMart joint hands with kiranas in due process. Eventually Agrotech will expand with its unique own stores concept operated in all rural places of Tamilnadu. Which is operated by women JLG/SHG. The company has already in the process of entering into contract with More Farmer producer companies across the country to procure the produces directly from the farmers by cutting down middle man( eliminating the brokerage) to get the fare price and the benefit to the farmers , along with its own corporate farming and neither purchase agricultural land to sign JVs with farmers to make them earn regular income also retain the farmers in framing in a sustainable way.

  • Until now, Agrotech has been using its retail store network for the delivery of grocery and FMCG products ordered through Agrotech mart APP along with its unique model and easy instalment scheme with its specially designed RURAL CREDIT CARD with YES BANK /BANKIT. AgroMart processes more than 3000 grocery orders per month with over 70% of the orders from regular buyers and repeated buyers. flow chart
    Agrotech has 25 AgroMart outlets that occupy 5000 square feet. The rest of the space in these outlets and the remaining stores will be fully converted into online B2B fulfilment centres.

  • The online sale grocery has got a boost with consumers preferring to buy online instead of visiting stores due to the pandemic and convenience though there was a large brick-and-mortar grocery chains in the March quarter. Agrotech having is huge scope for expansion , the “B2B will become a bigger area of action which will increase scale by length and breadth and also ensure Agrotech does not impact the livelihood of the smaller kiranas due to Covid and instead strengthen them who have already taken a beating due to Covid and other e-commerce players,” Agrotech and AgriMart are aiming to raise the business in rural markets with a expected turn over of 250crs with its unique model benefiting JLG/SHG along with the farmers and kirana owners.
